Most emergencies give no warning. Preparedness means that when they happen, the people nearby already know what to do and the systems around them are ready to act.
Our Emergency Preparedness programme works with health facilities, schools, workplaces and community groups to build practical readiness:
- Hands-on CPR, choking and bleeding-control drills using training manikins
- Recognising a deteriorating patient early, and escalating without delay
- Emergency action plans: who calls, who responds, who meets the ambulance
- Supporting health facilities to set up an Emergency Corner, our flagship model for recognising, stabilising and referring critically ill patients
