Frequently asked questions
How we work, how to get trained, and how you can help.
What is the Emergency Corner Model?
The Emergency Corner Model (ECM) is our flagship initiative to strengthen the first point of emergency care in health facilities such as district hospitals, polyclinics and health centres. Each participating facility is supported to set up an appropriately equipped and staffed emergency care point, so that critically ill and injured patients are recognised promptly, triaged, assessed (ABCDE), stabilised, and referred or kept for care without unnecessary delay. See the Emergency Corner Model page to learn how it works and how to take part.
Who can attend your trainings?
Everyone. We run public sessions on hands-only CPR and first aid, specialist Basic Life Support (BLS) training for health workers, and tailored sessions for schools, workplaces, drivers and transport unions. See the Events & Trainings page for upcoming dates, or contact us to arrange a session for your organisation.
How can I donate?
You can give online by card or mobile money through our secure Paystack checkout, once or every month, quarter or year. You can also send MTN Mobile Money directly to 0598518732 (Charles Amissah Memorial Emergency Care Foundation) and let us know through the donation page so we can acknowledge your gift.
Can my organisation partner with CAECF?
Yes. We welcome corporate sponsorships, institutional partnerships with hospitals and training bodies, and collaboration with government and non-governmental agencies. Visit the Partner With Us page to start a conversation.
How do I become a volunteer?
Fill in the volunteer form on our Get Involved page. Health professionals can help lead simulation-based training and mentor local responders; everyone can help with outreach, events, communications and advocacy.
What is the difference between volunteering and membership?
Volunteers give their time to specific activities. Membership is a formal relationship with the Foundation under our Constitution. Members subscribe to our vision and are admitted by the Board as Ordinary or Honorary Members, and may take part in our Annual General Meeting.
Is CAECF a registered organisation?
The Charles Amissah Emergency Care Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Ghana, governed by a Board of Directors under its Constitution adopted on 20 March 2026. Our accounts are independently audited every year.
